Persad Center provides an array of services to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS and help individuals who are HIV+ to get the care they need.

NON-MEDICAL CASE MANAGEMENT SERVICES

An assessment of your needs and a plan to help you reach your goals

Individual services to meet your specific needs

Guidance in obtaining employment and/or housing

Assistance in applying for health coverage (Medical Assistance, marketplace plans, PA Special Pharmaceutical Benefits Programs)

Coordination with medical, social, and dental service providers

Assistance in accessing all of Persad's mental health and community services

Who Is Eligible?
Those interested in accessing this service must have a confirmed HIV/AIDS diagnosis and reside in southwest Pennsylvania.

Emergency Financial Assistance
Individuals enrolled in Persad's non-medical case management services may be eligible for emergency financial assistance to cover the following:

Rent

Food
-
Transportation
-
Medication co-pays

Please note: those seeking emergency financial assistance must meet income eligibility requirements.

COUNSELING
​
For individuals who are HIV+, counseling can assist in understanding HIV infection, finding needed resources and medical care, and adjusting to medication and treatments. Our services help individuals to manage fears and losses, and make decisions regarding disclosure, re-infection risks, relationships, work, and health management. We offer individual therapy, couples counseling, and support groups. Persad Center can help you navigate the challenges of living with HIV.
