More than 3 million Americans over the age of 65 are LGBTQ+ — and this number is expected to double by 2030. Persad Center is dedicated to providing caring, confidential services that match the unique needs of LGBTQ+ people as they age. We draw upon decades of experience working with the LGBTQ+ community to deliver support and services that help older adults live full, healthy and independent lives.

Persad is proud to be the western Pennsylvania affiliate of the national organization SAGE: Services and Advocacy for GLBT Elders. Through our affiliation with this national organization, we are able to stay on top of the most up to date information and resources available for LGBTQ+ elders.

SAGE is the country's largest and oldest organization dedicated to improving the lives of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender older adults. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in New York City, SAGE is a national organization that offers supportive services and consumer resources for LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers, advocates for public policy changes that address the needs of LGBTQ+ older people.

As part of our affiliation Persad offers the National Resource Center training on LGBTQ+ elders to groups that serve or are interested in learning more about this population of consumers.
