A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Katie earned their Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s Studies, as well as Communications. During their time at the university, they served on the student government's Diversity & Inclusion committee and were recognized with an award from the GSWS Department for their writing. 

Katie has held a variety of roles, including coaching the Pittsburgh girl’s youth Ultimate frisbee team and serving as operations manager at UltiPhotos.

 

Most recently, Katie worked as a barista at Starbucks, where they served as a store Union leader & organizer. They are excited to continue supporting the queer community in their role at Persad. Outside of work, Katie enjoys making art, cooking, thrifting, and spending time with their cats and girlfriend.
