Michael Jones

Board Member

Michael Jones is the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Cultural Impact at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit where he is responsible for the design and implementation of meaningful organization-wide efforts that help shape a culture where everyone can grow and thrive. He also works directly with school districts to support their individual and collective needs. This includes professional development, workshops, serving as a subject-matter expert, role-alike meetings, and coaching.

 

A committed agent of change, Michael formerly worked as a senior associate within the Campus and Emerging Talent programs at a major banking corporation, performing recruiting and diversity management activities. Outside his professional duties, Jones has served as the Pittsburgh regional co-chair of IMPACT, an employee resource group for promoting the advancement of multi-ethnic/racial employees within the region. He previously held positions in higher education in both enrollment management and career development.

 

Michael holds a bachelor’s degree in music therapy from Seton Hill University and a master’s degree in social work from California University of Pennsylvania.
